Description
For pipe number six in the Cannoy Meerschaum Collection, I decided to take a slight detour from my production of classic shapes in meerschaum. I also decided it was about time the world saw some bamboo on a meerschaum pipe! The bamboo Dublin started out as a sketch in my idea book, but was originally intended to be a briar pipe with light bamboo and an Ebonite stem. Some brainstorming ended up with the dark/light/dark theme reversed, leaving me with light/dark/light, or Meerschaum/black bamboo/ivory stem. The results, as you can see, were simply stunning!
